I've been dealing with red, flakey patches from psoriasis for years, never anything too severe. Recently, I experienced a major flair-up that covered most of my body and left me in pain for days. I came in to see Dr. Brown, and within 2 weeks, my skin had almost completely healed. Dr. Brown was confident, direct, and thorough when answering my questions about treatment, which gave me a lot of reassurance. When he told me he could help fix the issue, I truely felt like he meant it. Thanks to my visit, I finally feel comfortable in my own skin again. I'm very grateful for Dr. Brown and highly recommend him.

I don’t often leave bad reviews, but you should be warned before you go here. I can get past bad bedside manner if you’re an amazing doctor, but Dr. Brown couldn’t have been more awful. I was there with my 16-year-old daughter who has struggled tremendously with acne. Dr. Brown was rude, arrogant, offensive and way out of line when speaking to my daughter and myself. When I asked him to educate us on the product, he just dismissed us as being stupid. My daughter who is so self-conscious about her face and scared about what medications she puts in her body, broke out in tears when he walked out. The reception women were not much better. Extremely rude with their responses to everything. . The nurses were OK but nobody could really be bothered to make you feel at all comfortable with the practice. In the end, he called in the wrong prescription dosage for Accutane and couldn’t be bothered to get the approval from my insurance company so that it didn’t cost me anything. Needless to say we did not fill our prescription and we have moved on to Charlotte dermatology. They have been amazing to work with. Informative and not condescending at all

I was a patient of Dr. Brown and was prescribed Accutane twice. While the treatment did reduce acne in the current, I was left with significant hyperpigmentation, more than 60 dark spots across my face, which I’m now dealing with at age 28. I feel the clinic is overbooked and that my care wasn’t given the close attention I expected. Based on my experience, I would recommend seeking a dermatologist who can provide more personalized follow-up and monitoring.

Heather Corbin, PA is a lovely, knowledgeable and highly competent PA who truly wants to help those under her care. Heather has a unique and beautiful way of aligning with her patients--her bedside manner is so warm and engaging and it immediately put me at ease. She also prescribed exactly the right corrective treatment to take care of the problem bringing me back in to the practice after I developed a drug-induced allergic reaction to a prior treatment from another prescriber. Heather listened to me as though she were being invisibly guided by the Platinum Rule and did unto me exactly as I would want to be treated. Patient-centered care when practiced with an open and caring heart like Heathers' is a beautiful thing to experience. She lifted my worry and fear and provided education and treatment which bolstered my spirit and expanded my heart. I love Heather and have requested to have her as my primary dermatologist at the practice.

I am rarely one to ever write a bad review online, but I recently had a minor surgical procedure at this office and left feeling appalled by my experience with Dr. Brown. While the nursing staff was excellent - kind, attentive, and professional - from the moment Dr. Brown entered the room, I felt invisible. There was no introduction, no explanation of the procedure, and no discussion of what to expect. I have never experienced such a complete lack of basic communication and human courtesy in a medical setting. At the conclusion, he left the room without saying a word - no summary, no aftercare guidance, no explanation of what to expect with sutures in my head over the next 10 days, and no opportunity for me to ask questions. As a patient undergoing even a minor surgical procedure, this lack of communication and basic bedside manner was utterly shocking. The other providers (nurses and PA's) at this office are great, but I would avoid Dr. Brown.

Danielle Tashakori, PA, is amazing. I’ve been happily going to Dilworth Dermatology for several years, and recently have been visiting Danielle. The value of Danielle is not just the results, but how invested she is in the patient and care. She took the time to explain everything, follow-up, offer relevant prescriptions, and saw the work through to be satisfied with the end results. To me, this really sets her and the practice apart as my goals were treated like a project vs. a one-off visit. Thank you!

This is my first review ever because of how bad this experience was and do not want others to experience the same. Do not go here. Long story short they made an issue near my eye much worse and didn’t respond when I was messaging / calling for help. I was 26 weeks pregnant and worried they caused an infection near my eye and did not get a response. I ended up having a follow up appointment with Dr. Brown. He barely looked at anything and was rude/dismissive. Seriously the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. I am now with another doctor, and it’s so much better.

Katie Caggiano is my absolute favorite provider! I was referred to her by a friend a few years ago for concerns with stubborn, severe acne. She met me with compassion and understanding and was so so thorough- I really appreciated this as another medical provider! She truly presented all of my treatment options without just pushing accutane. Over the next 3-6 months we had my skin looking better than ever. I have continued to see her for the past 2 years and have referred dozens of friends who had the same results.

I will be honest, my first experience here had me on the fence a bit but after my 2nd and 3rd visit with Dr. Brown, I truly did feel like the team had my best interest at heart. They are not pushy, nor do they make mountains out of mole hills (no pun intended). I had a few laser treatments here for a stubborn venous lake on my lip and they had great customer service and insight on treatment options. The spot is gone after only 3 visits of laser and there is no scar. Thank you! :)

To be clear, I love the staff here and Katie is amazing. I have referred her to many people. She is one of my favorite health professionals ever. Today, she was on vacation and I got stuck with Dr. Brown. He was dismissive and awful. I came in with possible bug bites and he just kept listing off bugs. Whatever bite came to his mind. I get that it’s hard to diagnose bites but I felt Google images did a better job. I’m not even sure if they are bites! I came in with questions and anxiety. I left with questions, anxiety, less in my wallet, and quite a bit of rage.
