In the beginning of 2024, Dr. Xuan Nguyen was attempting to treat my severe condition that happened at the end of 2023. This condition affected me on a daily basis and I was in too much pain and inflammation. My second to last appointment I had stopped the injections she was attempting to treat me with since results weren't as affective. Also, she had almost gave me a expired sample to inject me with after minutes of me warming up the injection for her. I was most definitely contemplating with her professionalism, treatment standards ( She wanted me to use a specific cleanser on my open wounds. It was high fragranced cleanser that also had Red 40 which isn't meant for wounds and, as a synthetic dye, might trigger inflammation or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals, potentially delaying healing) I listened to her and I was in so much pain with all of my open wound on my body that my domestic partner was trying to help clean me for weeks. Her office professionalism was unfortunately unorganized. Dr. Nguyen told me to come in again for another appointment and I made the appointment in office the same day. The day of my appointment I drove myself 35 mins away on time and the office didn't even have the appointment set up for me. I had to drive back home that day with so much stress and pain. This wasn't their first mistake either. I had let the office know on the about their unorganized mistakes and they apologized and excused it with training mistakes. My last visit was for a plan I wanted to make with her so we can figure this condition out together. She had showed me her frustration and referred me to a different dermatologist that day. Which I was grateful for. Me being so young, in severe pain, far from home with no parental support or experienced support took a toll on me and I was vulnerable. This experience definitely created some trauma for me. I never wanted to say anything or make a big deal out of this but my condition is still going on and it has taken a toll on my life. I am still striving to push through and get as much help as I can with other doctors when changing my lifestyle for a healthy and supporting environment.
