Dr. Steven Patching is a skilled and highly experienced surgeon. After my first hiatal hernia surgery failed, Dr. Patching undertook the resection. He gave me excellent information on the difficulties and limitations of resection surgery and what to expect, including the possibility of not being able to complete the resection. During the surgery, he encountered a unanticipated problem which he had not seen in hundreds of such operations. He was able to accurately interpret it and take corrective action, requiring two additional hours of operation prior to a complete fundoplication wrap. This totaled four and a half hours of surgery. Without this extensive background, he would not have been able to make a successful resection. His followup on the day of surgery and in the succeeding weeks enabled me to observe the behavioral and dietary changes to protect the new fundoplication wrap. I am immensly grateful to Dr. Patching for undertaking this difficult surgery and successfully repairing my hiatal hernia.

Dr. Patching is down to earth and gets right to the point. It’s obvious he cares and prioritizes my physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and stresses that bariatric surgery is a tool used to help me feel better.

Dr. Patching did an excellent job removing my gall bladder using Laparoscopic surgery. I didn’t feel anymore pain after 3 days and ready to go back to work after 12days.

Dr Patchings is the best in the area, he does surgerical procedures for GERD, hiatal hernia, bariatric as well and more. Very informative, the office staff is very polite, accommodating and friendly. Clean waiting & patient rooms.

I was scared at first to go with this procedure, but the whole process was worth it. I feel like my old self again and have so much energy. Dr. Patching is a wonderful surgeon. He is caring and meticulous. A good listener and he explains everything so clearly. The combination of laparoscopy, robtotics, and nerve blockers made recovery from paraesophageal surgery so much easier than I could have imagined. I recommend him most highly!
