Dermatology Consultants in Decatur found basal cell on my forehead so I was sent to Dr. Lui for mohs surgery. All this happened while I was pregnant. Dr.Lui called me the day after my diagnosis to talk through restrictions post op and modifications they would make during the procedure since I was pregnant. I was also scheduled quickly after diagnosis which I appreciated. The mohs team during the procedure and after the procedure were amazing. I’m so thankful for Dr. Lui and his team! He truly cares about his patients and quickly responds to any questions/concerns before or after the procedure when you reach out to him. I’m now almost 3 months out from my mohs surgery and everything is healing nicely.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Dermatology Consultants. I had an appointment last Wednesday, yet my prescription was not submitted until today after I had to call to remind them. Because of this delay, I had to continue suffering with a painful and uncomfortable rash due to their lack of follow-through. This feels extremely unprofessional, especially for a medical office where timely treatment matters. To make matters worse, no one offered any apology, explanation, or form of compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort caused. On top of that, patients are required to pay for parking and it is not validated. I expected much better care and communication.

My visit today with Hannah was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable from the moment of meeting. This practice is right where I need to be with new skin issues. I recommend them 1000%! Thank you Hannah for your time and expertise:). You are amazing !

Very disappointed. I have never reviewed a doctor or office but I feel inclined to share my experience with Dr. Laungani so others can make a different choice. I came to see her for my annual skin check. I get a skin check every year, every doctor I’ve seen spends at least 5-10 minutes making notes, explaining things, pausing to look closer at any suspicious spots - typical and basic care. No exaggeration, Dr. Laungani spent no more than 45 seconds glancing over my entire body. Said she was done, and then spent 20 times more time trying to sell her skin care items to me. If you’re looking for cosmetic care, maybe she’s great. If you’re looking for actual health care do not book an appointment with her. I’ve never felt less cared for by a doctor. And have already had to book a new appointment at a new practice for my annual check because I have zero confidence in her giving me an “all clear” from her completely irresponsible 45 second skin check.

My husband went to Dermatology Consultants for what was explicitly a routine skin check. During the visit, the doctor stated she was going to remove a few skin tags. There was no explanation that this would be billed as an additional procedure, no discussion of cost, and no indication that this was outside the scope of a standard visit. Based on how it was presented, my husband reasonably assumed it was part of the exam. Weeks later, we received a bill for the removals. When my husband called the billing department to ask for clarification, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. He was essentially told that he “should have known” this was not standard and was laughed off rather than treated with any respect or empathy. That interaction alone was enough to completely erode our trust. Patients are not mind readers. If a procedure carries an additional cost, that must be clearly explained before it is performed. Informed consent includes financial transparency, not assumptions after the fact. As a result of both the lack of upfront disclosure and the unacceptable handling by the billing department, Dermatology Consultants has lost three patients: my husband, my daughter’s and my self. We will not be returning, and we would caution others to ask very direct questions about costs before agreeing to anything during a visit.

My experience has been mixed but my biggest concern is the fact that it is hard to get anyone to answer the phone. You call repeatedly to no avail, then they charge $50 for missing an appointment you actually called to reschedule. Their app does not allow you to reschedule your appointment so it feels like they are looking for any reason to charge additional fees. Sometimes I pay a $40 copay just to have some “look” at my issue without performing any care. The staff is friendly in person but they are not easy to reach over the phone. And given that I was charged for a missed appointment does not sit well and has me shopping for another provider. Their app needs improving and maybe they need to hire an answering service to ensure the calls are being answered since that is the only way you can reschedule an appointment.

Amazing experience at this beautiful and clean office! My esthetician Megan was extremely professional and thorough during my painless experience with the laser. My primary provider Taylor Weintraub PA-C even came to check on me during my procedure. As a healthcare provider myself, I have no hesitations recommending this practice to anybody looking for a new dermatology home!

CAUTION!!! 0 out of 5. Be very careful getting anything done at this location. The direct words from their insurance/billing manager 15 MONTHS after I completed a simple 15-minute procedure were this: -I am not sure which number the text messages are sent from. I will have our collections manager find out that information. -Providers don't discuss the cost of procedures with a patient unless the patient specifically asks. You did sign the consent agreeing to have the procedure performed. This is a swindling business looking to hide the $$$ from their patients to earn a buck. A place of very low integrity. Their communication following up on payment is pathetic too and just a way for them to cover themselves.

Came here as the "driver" to a friend. They made me sit with him in the room in the most uncomfortable chair I have ever experienced. I had to be there, physically, in a chair, in his room, and they told me nothing. I told my friend to find a new doctor. I will not do that again. I could have easily been in the waiting room in a comfortable chair.

I absolutely love this place with all of my soul!!!! The staff was warm and inviting, the were very nice and informative. The procedure was quick and painless. All the people greeted me with a smile. I showed up hours early for my appointment and they still saw be me even before my time. I kinda wished I had something else wrong just to come back and see them. lol. Wow I was truly blown away by the service. From the front desk, to the assistant, to the doctor!!! All amazing!!!! I almost want to cry they were so awesome. Man I love you Guys!
