This place is amazing. The entire student staff may not have the years of experience of a professional salon but the students, especially THAIS, work tirelessly to achieve what the client asks for and dont quit until they get it just right. I've paid top dollar for years with prof. Salons but would choose Thais and Ave 5 for the very reasonable discounts and friendly and hard working students any day over other places. Love this place for my blonde highlights!
Ashley T did so good on my nails! Not only was the manicure itself amazing the design she do on my nails came out SO GOOD!! We did brown and tortoise and I’m obsessed!!
My review is regarding one student, I do not know if other students are in the same level. Cynthia Lopez was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to make sure that the cut was to my liking, and even if it was a simple haircut, it was the best I have had in a long while. If Cynthia is this good while still a student I can only imagine that she will be a rockstar with more experience. Cynthia was very professional and relatable at the same time, a winning combination. I am now scheduling a hair color session with her.
Today, I had Sunni! ☀️ She was absolutely perfect! I really appreciated her knowledge and attention to detail. We did a money piece and brightened up my blonde a bit! I’m terrible at upkeep, so I will definitely be coming back! The prices are RIDICULOUS! You literally can’t beat it! And I love how they check in with a teacher through the steps. It’s like you’re getting two sets of eyes on your head for reassurance and collaboration 💗🌸🎉✨ They were all so professional and warm! I definitely recommend!!!
This is my first time back in a while, and while my previous experiences were all fine or pleasant Riley was not as up to standard as previous students. My main issue is the cut of my bangs. I did not notice at the time as they were still wet, but upon getting home and showering/drying my hair I realized they were Incredibly uneven and at a literal slant. Part of the issue I think is that after my requested extra cutting as I wanted a shorter length, the professor was never called to check her work. She also referred to the entire session as a trim several times despite me booking a haircut and paying for one. It's important to note she was resistant to using clipers despite my initial scheduling having a note requesting that my stylist have them prepared, and then again during the cut I approved and suggested use of clippers again. She said she was uncomfortable with using clippers. While I can sympathize, it caused more strain for both her and me. She had to cut down the back of my hair by hand which she struggled to properly reach and I had to crane my neck down as far as I could to make it work. Everything got done in the end, but the refusal to take advantage of the learning opportunity and make both our experiences smoother really soured the experience.
Had a perfect perm done for just $44 dollars with Ashlynn, she was real attentive, precise, and had the instructor check in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. Overall awesome service at a wonderful price ❤️
