Review detail

I’m leaving this review based solely on my experience with the front desk and doctor, as I did not receive any procedures. The front desk clerk was genuinely kind and personable, which is the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and I left feeling pressured, misled, and frustrated. I initially came in for an IPL laser treatment advertised on Groupon. Before any real consultation, I was told that IPL would not be suitable for my skin type and was immediately steered toward a much more expensive Pico laser treatment—jumping from roughly $50 to $300. This recommendation came before asking about my prior laser history or treatment goals. I mentioned that I’ve had IPL treatments before (including internationally) with good results, and that higher-end technology alone doesn’t guarantee effectiveness—especially for my skin type. Still, the focus remained on upselling rather than listening. What stood out most was that I was asked whether I had already purchased the Groupon before this conversation. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but it became clear that because it wasn’t purchased yet, switching me to a higher-priced service was easier. When scheduling, I was given an appointment date that I had already explained I could not realistically make work. I was then asked for my card “to hold the appointment,” without being told clearly that a non-refundable deposit would be charged. After the card was taken, I was informed there was a $100 deposit, yet only $50 was charged, which added to the confusion and made the policy feel inconsistent and poorly communicated. Overall, the experience felt transaction-driven rather than patient-focused. If you’re considering coming here, I strongly recommend: Asking very clear questions about deposits before giving card information Confirming exact pricing and policies in writing Being prepared for upselling beyond advertised services I cannot speak to the quality of the actual treatments, but based on the intake process alone, this was not a reassuring or transparent experience.
